With regular maintenance, your hair extensions will last as long as possible and continue to look healthy.

How long do hair extensions last?

The lifespan of Lavysh Bundles depends on the care they receive and how much heat is applied to them.It cpould be 1-2 months or 1-2 years. Always keep in mind, the more you wash and apply heat to your extensions, the shorter their lifespan will be. Keep washing and using products on your extensions to a minimum. The important thing to remember is that your hair extensions don’t have a natural hydration source like your own hair. The key to maintaining your extensions is keeping them moisturized.

How to Store Lavysh Extensions

After removing your Lavysh extensions, wash, condition and allow hair to air dry. Once they are completely dry, store them in the Lavysh satin bag your hair came in. Be sure to store your extensions in a cool and dry place away from direct sunlight.

Products You Should Avoid

One of the most important things to consider when taking care of your Lavysh extensions will be the products you use.  Be sure to check the ingredient listing and DO NOT use products that contains: SLS, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Alcohol Denat, Ethanol, SD Alcohol 40, Propanol, Isopropyl, and/ or Propyl.

How to Preventing Tangling

Although Lavysh Hair extensions are made of 100% Virgin hair, tangling can occur.  A common reason why extensions tangle and get matted throughout the day is because of a combination of sweat, heat, and friction. Along with brushing your hair or combing with a wide tooth comb to prevent tangling, using proper hair care products make all the difference in whether extensions will tangle or be soft and manageable. Use products specifically formulated for dry and damaged hair, as they will help keep the strands healthy and nourished. Also, look for ingredients that add moisture to the hair like argan oil, coconut oil, and or castor oil. Sulfate-free and alcohol-free products is very important to the lifespan of ypur hsir. These ingredients will strip the hair of its natural oils, which makes the hair drier and more prone to tangling.
